We have a full (3 seniors sides + Colts) round of games against Harlequin RFC at Quins -Ashwood Reserve, Power Ave, Ashwood, Mel Ref 60 H12 this Saturday 17 April.

The kick-off times are as follows.

Colts     1240 to 1355     2 x 35 (no inj)

2^nds       1400 to 1515     2 x 35 (no inj)

1^sts        1520 to 1645     2 x 40 (with injury)

This round of games will act as full dress rehearsal before Round 1 on Saturday 24 April when we are scheduled to play Powerhouse at home.

Gear will be for sale at trainings this week 6.15pm-8.00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at the State Hockey Centre as will managers who can collect subs payments.

We have NOT been able to secure opposing teams for trial matches this Saturday 10 April at Northern RUFC.

MURFC coaches have advised there will be no internal club games, we will have the weekend off and roll through to games against Harlequins at Harlequins on Saturday 17th April.

Meet at Melbourne Uni Clubrooms (Brens Pavilion, off Macarthur Road, Parkville) at around 8:30am to organise car pooling. If driving to Albury without going to the clubrooms, meet at the Mt. Ridley BP at about 9:15am.

Now that preseason training is well underway with good numbers turning up it is time to turn our eyes to the preseason matches.

As you are well aware the drought has been making pre-season training a little tricky of late after our first excellent six weeks on campus. The Princes Park touch fields are not in great condition and we cannot access Smith Oval until early April.

However, the coaching/management team has been very pleased with the attitude and commitment of players to training over the past 1-2 weeks. From Monday 16 March we will be training once a week at the State Hockey Centre which is an excellent facility.
